Last night the Milano Moda Donna that runs from the 22nd – 29th of September in Milan and is dedicated to the showcasing of new trends for women for the Spring and Summer of the following year was marked in Second Life by the opening of the new fashionable space called FASHION, EXPERIENCE THE FUTURE. The space is interestingly presented and has one of the most innovative runways I have seen in Second Life, using bends, dips and differnt platform levels and lights to luminate and integrate the numerous bars and seating areas around the venue (see picture top left inset for a bird’s eye view). It is well lit and apart from having to risk tennis neck to watch the models making their way around, it is very alla moda and very Milano. The event was attended by much of the hosts from the Italian run square Parioli, including Vittorio Beerbaum and other SL fashion professionals, such as Shiryu Musashi from Musashi-Do and model, journalist Naturelle Santos. The venue will be used for experiment projects in fashion in Second Life. The event was particularly interesting, because it is a talent scout was let loose amongst the crowd to select the most fashionable looking lady to take part in a video that would be played at the “Camera Nazionale della Moda Italiana based in Miland, so you can imagine the ladies had come out in their full glory The definately worth a visit, if not for the events that will be taking place, then to experience its ambience at least once – or to strut your stuff on the fantastic runway when no one is looking.
