FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

The Ewing Fashion Agency Launches a Fashion Apprenticeship Program in Second LifeSecond Life, November 19, 2007:  For the month of December and January, the Ewing Fashion Agency (EFA) will be running the EFA Design Awards in conjunction with our main sponsor and technology partner, OnRez.  As part of the preparation and excitement of such a big event, we would like to give two people the opportunity to join the agency as apprentices to work with some of our strongest team members.  Apprentices will be partnered with model-mentors who are also part of the EFA management team.  The experience will allow apprentices to learn the ropes about the industry and to contribute to a dynamic and fast-growing enterprise.  This experience is invaluable not only to aspiring models, but for people who are involved in or would like to further their careers in event planning and management, fashion agency management, branding and promotions.  As well as the time and knowledge the models will give you, you will also be part of the planning for the EFA Design Awards and enjoy the thrill of the ride with us.

Definitions

An apprenticeship is a combination of on-the-job training and related instruction through which individuals can learn the practical aspects and skills of an occupation.

Our Mentors

Laydeebird Chastity
Top Models, Casting Director & Events Co-coordinator – Laydeebird auditioned for one of the earlier FIRST IMPRESSIONS shows and was asked by EFA owner, Una Ewing, to join agency management after impressing us with her quick thinking, wit, dynamism, professionalism and drive. She quickly rose through the ranks of the agency to become Top Model and was awarded the role of casting director for EFA Fashion Week. Laydeebird Chastity will be in charge of the planning of the January Award ceremony for the EFA Design Awards. Working with her will bring the chosen apprentice invaluable organisational, agency and industry experience.

Tempest Hennessy
Model and Director of the Ewing Elite Model Training Program –  Tempest Hennessy joined EFA just before EFA Fashion Week and very easily rose into the role of director of tuition at the EFA Elite Model Training Program. Since then Tempest has woven herself into the workings of the agency, conducting the auditions of other EFA Fashion Week models with Laydeebird Chastity, coordinating the casting of the Leezu Baxter revolution show, and mentoring her pupils in the model training program. Tempest is also candidate to the Miss World SL competition, so working with her will give the chosen apprentice not only the insight into her day-to-day agency activities, but also open to them to a world of managing and publicizing oneself as a model.  If you are a former student of EFA Elite Model Training, this could be the opportunity for you to put into practice what you have learned, as well as gain work experience and increase your network and contacts.
