I have been searching for some fun, yet classy clothing by Italian designers that would fit in more of the mid-range of pricing.  We all love the flamboyance and textures of the Italian designers and the unique style that they add to their designs.  We have heard of all the big names, amongst them Jador, Bolero, etc, etc.  But have any of you heard of Shouted Couture?  Well I hadn’t either, until about two weeks ago.  I was talking to my good friend Mimi Juneau, from Mimi’s for Women and she was telling me about this wonderful store that she was managing named Shouted Couture.  Well I had to run right over.

When I arrived, I was blown away by the lovely styles and the diversity of the line.  Again Italian, Italian, Italian screamed out at me as I walked about and looked at every outfit.  Here you can find anything from very casual, to formal.  And the big plus is that the prices are so fantastically affordable.  Now get this!  Remember I was talking about those big name designers?  Well the two that are delivering at Shouted Couture is both Bolero and Jador.  Jador is using the name Vanity Affair, which was the very first name that Ziamela Loon, first started producing fashion under in Second Life.

Spring is upon us, and it’s time to pull out your shorts and crop tops.  You can still be glam and fashionable with your choices.  This week I’ve put together something that you could easily wear for date night or to the hottest new club in SL.  Armidi has wonderful separates and they have the best pair of Jordyn shorts.  They’ve been out for a year, and I still can’t find a pair I like better.  The metallic gold version, adds some drama to the look.  Using metallics is a great way to glam up any outfit.

I paired a purple zip jacket to the shorts.  The rich plum top  from Decoy is full of surprises with it’s prim belt with gold buckle and poofy sleeve parts.  Gold always adds luxury to your style, and the accesories from Armidi fit perfectly.  Now I just need to find my date…

Check out the style card for details.

How many of us have put on the “perfect dress” and then spent the next 20 minutes rummaging through  inventory, looking for jewelry that will complete the look?  I have some great jewelry but of course not everything I have is  going to match my ever growing wardrobe.  I guess it’s that time again… TIME TO SHOP!

Applonia Criss of CHANTKARE has been designing clothing in Second Life for less than a year and she has come a long way in such a short span of time.  As a designer, she brings us “modern hip” creations, fulfulling our cravings as fahionistas to stand out… to be one of a kind.  Her existing jewelery line is ever expanding and up-to-date with the season and trends, complimenting her clothing.  She makes pieces that work together to create a total image and balance what you are wearing.  Applonia’s designs will accomodate any one of your moods or tastes… from simply classy to edgy elegance.

The LONGLACE DAY DRESS is simply adorable!  The moment I put it on, I just knew that I was going to get a lot of use out of this dress.  This is the perfect dress for all occassions.  The lace detail is wonderful… the same texture is carried out through the entire dress and I like the way the bodice is sheer but not too sheer.  The skirt moves beautifully beacuse the underskirt is in two parts, each part moving independantly of the other.

Aradhana Voight of Mashooka Designs is possibly best know for her fantastic and authentic Indian designs, but regular shoppers at her store know that she does much more.  Recently, she released a new spring line.  This new line is a wonderful mix of Indian and Western styles, covering the full gamut from casual to formal. Texturing in Second Life clothing design has reallyadvanced over recent weeks, in the amount of detail and true to life shading, and Aradhana is keeping right up with the state of the art.  This level of quality combined with her sense of style and the wonderful color pallette she uses, makes for a truely exciting spring selection.

Pictured above are a couple of variations of the Linda denim skirt paired with the new Indian Summer Tunic.   The tunic comes with a number of options, just a couple of which are seen here.  The base top has the long and short sleeve versions on both the shirt and jacket layer and can be worn alone for a tight fit, or with one of the optional prim attachemnts for a looser fit.  Included is a prim collar and sculpty-prim puff sleeves (not pictured) as additional options.  Besides the Pink and Beige shown here, other colors available are Green, Lime, Red and Sea.  Both lengths of the Linda skirt are available in various denim shades.

Today I have a Special Mash Up Edition of the Style Tip of the Week.

LeeZu! released the most amazing Valerie blouses last month, and I just can’t get enough.  The sheer ruffle detail is amazing, and it comes in a large range of colors.  You need to add layers for modesty, in this picture I’m wearing the undershirt, shirt and jacket layers.  The bow belt from Muism’s  New Minimal outfit added a simple chic twist to the look.  Next,  I paired the top with the cutest flared capris from MALT, the woven texture of the pant is incredibly well made.  Khea Karas is an amazing designer and her upcoming vintage inspired releases will have you all in a frenzy (shameless plug for next week’s edition).  If you haven’t picked up the newest shoes from Courtisane, you better run now and get the FATPACK of awesomeness.  These shoes are my new favorites in all of SL, the flower accent on the sandal adds a most unique touch.  And, I adore the ribbon accent in the back.  I kept the accesories simple with pieces from Zaara and Swallowtail.

ZAARA

A few months back, I happened upon a shop that was named ZAARA.  I was shopping with my best friend Katalina Michalak.  We love to explore and find new designers, that have extraordinary designs and colours that pop.

When I walked into the shop, I was blown over by the beauty, colour and intricacy of the clothing and jewelry that I saw before me.  I related to it all and fell passionately in love with everything.  I went into a shopping frenzy and bought almost every item in the fat packs.  Walked out and never even quibbled about all that I had just bought or what I had spent.  IT WAS WORTH IT!

Now that I am writing for the EFA fashion blog, I wanted to blog Zaara and the magnificent clothing and jewelery line that she offers.  When I put on a Zaara made fashion, I always grab the attention of others, who what to know where I got such beautifully layered designs with colour that will knock your socks off.  I was wearing the kavi top in pink last evening with the jeweled jeans, my partner Dolphin Robson, could not keep his eyes off of me and told me several times, how well put together I looked.  The blouse look amazingly soft and flowing.  Now I don’t know about the rest of you, but when a man will notice and comment, then you know you are wearing something very special.
