If your wardrobe is in need of some color, a visit to The Graceful Lily should be considered.  Whether you’re looking for formal, casual or club wear, Talia Lefavre brings her unique use of vibrant colors and intricate patterns to each style.  Talia is also an artist, you can see some of her works displayed at her store, and that aspect of her shows in her design work.  It’s as if she is creating a work of art with the body as the canvas and the clothing being the medium.

This first sample of her work, above, is a combination of the Egyptian Top in Orange and Blue Quilted Pants sold separately.  Aside from the top being a vivid and saturated hue, it is made more interesting by the stylized cutout of Egyptian style motifs.  The wave-like pattern of the pants offers a nice contrast to the design of the top.  The prim cuffs and thigh buckle add some attitude to this colorful ensemble.  The top is also available in red, coffee and black, while the pants come in green and tan in addition to the blue seen here.  This look is completed with Stiletto Moody Bitch Booties.  Hair is GIRLO from ::69:: in Charcoal and the skin is Baiastice_D. Even though it is a virtual fantasy world, so much of Second Life mirrors real life.  The constant need a woman has for new gowns is one of them.  Just as in real life, a woman doesn’t want to be seen wearing that same dress she wore to the last gala event.  She needs something new, and something no one else is wearing.  Considering that most people probably attend more events in Second Life than their real lives, the need for new gowns is even greater.  Luckily for all of us, there is no shortage of designers of fabulous gowns here.  My Precious by Agnes Finney is one of the many shops in Second Life that offers a large selection of gowns and continually releases new items to help keep our wardrobes fresh.  Agnes’ latest designs include a dress called Snow Butterfly Queen, pictured below.

This dress is a mermaid style that is perfect for showing off those curves you’ve spent hours on perfecting.  The bodice is a sleeveless, closed halter style that helps to keep the silhouette slim and seductive.  This gown is textured with a lovely light blue and white embroidered pattern that seems to shimmer as it moves.  The prim pleats at the bas of the skirt blend well in both color and pattern.  The color and cut of this gown are wonderful for making that head turning entrance.  But as is often said, a girl needs to be as memorable when leaving a room as when entering.  This should always be considered when choosing a gown and a rear view of Snow Butterfly Queen, below, shows that this one fits the bill.

Alienbear has long been known for its high quality, high fashion jewelry designs and the recently released Azucena set is a wonderful addition its line.  Besides continuing the tradition of expert craftsmanship, the Azucena collection is also versatile, with an elaborate or more simple design choice kown.  Below the necklace, earrings and crown of each style are pictured.

The necklace is made of two pieces which allows for wearing it as the simpler version on the left or the full two piece ornate version on the right.  Two sets of earrings, Azucena I and II, are available to match the necklace in either version.  The crown is available in the Princess (left) or Queen (right) versions as seen above.  Both sets are elegant and stylish, it’s only a matter of how ornate you want your jewelry to be.

Fashion is a global phenomenon with every cultural having its own histories that influence development of local styles.  With Second Life being accessible from around the globe, it stands to reason that we would see fashion styles from many cultures brought here.  The fact that many residents like to learn about and experience designs from other areas bodes well for designers of authentic regional fashion.  One such designer that is worth knowing about is Vlinder Reitveld of Vlintuition.  Vlinder specializes in the design of authentic asian styles, among them, Indian, Chinese and Mongolian.  Her travels throughout Asia allow her to keep abreast of local fashion trends and she strives to recreate these fashions accurately in Second Life.

Above is pictured Vlinder’s most recent Indian release, the Kala Gown in Navy.  What is striking about this garment is the highly detailed embroidery at the hem, waist of the lehenga and on the cap sleeve choli.  The prim parts of the lehenga blend almost seemlessly with the underlying pants layer.  The matching dupatta is sculpted at the shoulders with the front and back ends flex for natural movement.  This outfit includes a pair of bracelets.  The Kala Gown also comes in Orchid, Coal, Sky and Crimson.

Just because it’s getting colder outside, doesn’t mean that you can’t continue to look hot. Keeping this in mind, I did a little shopping for a sexy fall look and this is what I came up with.

There really  are not many things that look hotter than leather and this lovely ensemble proves it. The Black leather jacket is a new release from COCO and features amazing detail and sleek lines that give it a tailored fashion forward look. The top, from Plastik, is actually the top of a mini dress called Shredder and provides just enough edge to make this ensemble perfect for clubwear.

This casual look, above, combines the Gilet dress in metallic blue with the Tristin blouse in darkrose.  This dress, shown with the flexi A-line skirt option, can also be worn with a non-flex pencil skirt of the same length.  The Tristin blouse features semitransparent wrist cuffs and multiple layers.  Both the dress and blouse are wonderfully textured for realism.  The Gilet dress is also available in black, bordeaux, lilac and moss while the Tristin blouse also comes in beige, blue, light blue, ocean and red.  For a more daring look the dress can be worn alone with the wide shoulder straps offering just enough coverage.  Also worn for this photo is C’est si bon hair with hat from Vanity Hair and a Donnarama Gloss peach skin with make up 4 BK from Baiastice.

For people who are not familiar with SF Design by Swaffette Firefly, you can find clothes from classic to sexy, from formal to casual and for man and woman and you will even find matching shoes in her shoe collection!

As present I received the sf design anniversary ballgown and for Kafee the sf design anniversary tux – sage. A perfect combination together, it made us want to go to a party and have a dance. What I like about the dress is the bustier with the lace trim. It gives you a much better decollete and nice detail, at the back it has nice diamond studs, very sexy! The resize menu takes care of the perfect size for you. The tux has a classical design, but made perfect with all the extra prims like the shoulder parts, sleeves for the arm and  prim for the lower part of the jacket. Also the pant has leg prims. It gives the tux so much more swing and it makes it less stiff. And good news, both outfits have matching shoes included. Not shoes you will only wear with this and never anymore, no, good quality shoes you will find another matching outfit for. This gown and tux will be available from this sunday on at SF Design.
