In the world of fashion, people are always looking for new and fresh.  Often times it is found with the discovery of a new talented designer, which causes us to constantly search for unheralded names.   But the truly talented continue to turn out fresh ideas regularly.  In our quest for new we shouldn’t make the mistake of ignoring those we already know and one to whom we need always pay attention is Sissy Pessoa of Baiastice.  Sissy has been around the Second Life fashion scene for a number of years and over that time has been on of the leaders in creativity and talent.  Besides her constant innovations in clothing of many styles, she has also branched into other areas including skins, lingerie, shoes, lashes and nails.  Below are several outfits recently available and photographed at various locations around the Costa Rica Sims where a Baiastice store is also located.  All are shown with Baiastice skins as well.

This first couture ensemble, above, is the BlackAndrea dress, perfect for admiring the art works at the Criss Museum of Contemporary Art in Alajuela.  The strapless bodice and knee-length pencil skirt form a classy and feminine silhouette.  The hat adds a modern flair while the included gloves and stockings are keeping with the classic feel.  The skin here is Baiastice_D. Casting-Peach-make up 10 BK.  The look is completed with Laqroki Cutie hair in black, Stiletto Moody Pinups in Black Patent Python and Necklace No 128 [small] and Earrings No 127 in silver from Kraftika.

“The Creator made Italy from designs by Michelangelo.” –Mark Twain

Firenze makes your senses reel. This city is treasure-crammed: The Duomo; dominating the Tuscan skyline, with it’s multi-coloured facade of pink, white and green marble, the Ponte Vechio bridge, Uffizi and Accademia Galleries, and countless more art and historical treasures. SecondLife has brought some of this to life at the re-creation of the Piazza della Signoria, the civic center of Florentine life. In the square you will find bits and pieces of Firenze scattered about. Among some of the displays you will see the bronze statue of Perseus holding out the severed head of Medusa, carved by Cellini, and of course, the most famous and magnificent statue of David, by Michelangelo. To look upon David is to behold perfection.

Twenty years from now you will be more disappointed by the things you didn’t do than by the ones you did do. So throw off the bowlines, sail away from the safe harbor. Catch the trade winds in your sails. Explore. Dream. Discover.” – Mark Twain

And so my journey begins. I have my ticket, my maps and my dreams. I am wearing a super comfortable two piece outfit from Gisaci. The white blouse has a stand up collar and adjustable ¾ sleeves. You can wear this blouse with or without the collar and sleeves, either way it’s perfect. There are a lot of choices in colours which made the selection a little difficult, as there is not enough room in my suitcase for all of them. The short skirt comes with the wide black belt, also adjustable, which completes this outfit very nicely. The skirt is rigid but has those lovely folds that make the garment look very soft and it really is a nice fit.

The inspiration for this outfit actually came from the shoes that I picked up at Storm Shmooz. I love this combination of brown and cream, so I snatched them up pretty quickly. I searched through my jewelry box and found these great earrings from Creamshop and bangle bracelets from ::69:: and I was done. I grab my black bag from Muism as it is perfect for all those traveling sundries and I am off – first stop Italy!

Hi. My name is Willemina Meriman and I’m a new junior model with EFA. I will be blogging for you once a week. For my first blog I took a walk in the park….well, after shopping of course. As the weather was perfect, I chose this light summer dress in cream, honey and olive. The dress comes with a set of two bracelets and a pair of earrings. I replaced the earrings with a set of earrings and necklace in gold and apatite; a great combination with this dress. To protect my eyes against the midday sun I was wearing a pair of dark sunglasses. These are olive to match the trimming of my dress. Like the rest of my accessories, a cute leather and wood handbag with nice details and shoes in olive shades. The shoes are elegant, but comfortable enough for a walk. I hope you enjoy my first blog.
