Hello everybody, welcome to my weekly fashion and stlye post. Today I would like to present 3 variations of style for the same great dress:

Picture 1.

Not too long ago, Barerose released the Black Iris dress, which comes in 3 different colours, and was the source of my inspiration for todays post. With the dress in black, I created a mix match in picture 1 that is sexy and punkish. The hair, that I just couldn’t not wear, is from a shop called Brainbow and colour may be kind of bizarre, but its funny to wear. The hair comes with more than 10 colors. Wearing this hair will make you feel wild and happy.

Fashions fade, style is eternal. Yves Saint Laurent quotes

I am depleted, but oh what a day! Shopping on the Via del Corso, drinking unbelievably delicious cappuccinos (I’ve had several to keep me going) and eating Italian ice cream – which, by the way, is not just a scrumptious food item, but a work of art. Those of you who have seen those marvelous ice cream shop displays know what I mean.

Here I am, laying on the Spanish Steps because I can’t move another inch. Thank goodness I wore this really comfortable and cool outfit from DeLa I brought with me. It comes with two pairs of pants, long ones or these adorable shorts I am wearing. I love the cuffs on these shorts and the scarf detail really sets off the look. There are 11 colour choices and each one is simply delicious. I knew I was going to be on my feet all day, so I prepared and wore these great little slides from Truth. While shopping today, I found these earrings that matched perfectly, so I just had to put them on immediately and tossed my old ones into this great bag from Muism, which is great for all this shopping I am doing.

Twenty years from now you will be more disappointed by the things you didn’t do than by the ones you did do. So throw off the bowlines, sail away from the safe harbor. Catch the trade winds in your sails. Explore. Dream. Discover.” – Mark Twain

And so my journey begins. I have my ticket, my maps and my dreams. I am wearing a super comfortable two piece outfit from Gisaci. The white blouse has a stand up collar and adjustable ¾ sleeves. You can wear this blouse with or without the collar and sleeves, either way it’s perfect. There are a lot of choices in colours which made the selection a little difficult, as there is not enough room in my suitcase for all of them. The short skirt comes with the wide black belt, also adjustable, which completes this outfit very nicely. The skirt is rigid but has those lovely folds that make the garment look very soft and it really is a nice fit.

The inspiration for this outfit actually came from the shoes that I picked up at Storm Shmooz. I love this combination of brown and cream, so I snatched them up pretty quickly. I searched through my jewelry box and found these great earrings from Creamshop and bangle bracelets from ::69:: and I was done. I grab my black bag from Muism as it is perfect for all those traveling sundries and I am off – first stop Italy!

Glamorous dres: Medusa Maxi Snakeskin from Casa Del Shai, sophisticated for summer nights chill outs. Top comes with snakeskin crossing shoulder straps and transparent underblouse together with halflong flexi skirt which are lightly transparent. How exciting! Summernights can be a bit tricky, so I wore a cute green boa which you can get from Juju´s Closet in greenpastel- its modifyable, its pretty easy to change color. Instead of wearing traditional black eyelashes I tried spotted flawless flutter eyelashes from caLLie cLine in rainbow like colors. My cute bag with feather is from Muism and shoes are from ZHAO. Did I forget something, yes! Earrings are Knights Honour from Paper Couture and stunning skin Misha/blue is from Redgarve. For my legs I wore tights which are part of dress Brown Glitter Clubbing Dress, also from Redgarve.

With this inspiration for what to wear in a glamorous summernight chill out, it is as well perfect for a hot date :-).

The Spring and Summer trends in 2008 are promising! Purple is reminiscent of the 80’s and the present day. It is combined with over-sized bags, t-shirts and large earrings. The trousers, short tight skirts and capris can be worn with a jumbo sweater or t-shirt to complete the city chic “just threw it on” look to make an eye-catching outfit for a stylish stroll down the boulevard. Lots of recently released items from Armidi and Muism make it very easy to dress trendy in Second Life. Don’t forget to check out TESLA for trendy hats. Find the style you are most comfortable with. Of all the guys I know, Malden DeCuir is one of the coolest. His style is daring, edgy and always warrants a second glance. I saw him out dancing last weekend, wearing these boots that just made my jaw drop. He told me he got them at SF designs, which didn’t surprise me at all. They always have such great stuff. Who would have dreamed that a guy wearing knee high, fuzzy boots could look so tough? (more…)
