Simone! Ice Princess

Simone! Ice Princess

They say love is not measured by how it makes you feel, but by how you make the other person feel.  If that’s the case, then Simone Stern truly loves us.   Simone! Designs has released an exquisite new gown called the Ice Princess, that will not only kindle sparks of romance, but will make you feel like royalty.

When I first started Second Life back in March of 2006, one of the first places I discovered for quality clothing at reasonable prices was Simone! DesignsSimone Stern has been around Second Life since December 2004, so she’s no stranger when it comes to clothing design.  That quickly becomes apparent when you teleport to her store and your eyes gaze upon the vibrant colors and wonderfully detailed designs.  Some of those designs you can check out at her store, Simone! Designs and her blog by the same name.

No wardrobe is complete without a formal gown and Simone! Designs does not disappoint.  Sensual yet classy, the Ice Princess comes in several different colors — Green (not pictured), Champagne, Red, Purple, Silver, Pink and Blue (not pictured) as well as several different wearing options.  Feeling a tad more formal, you can wear the belle flexi skirt or if you want to feel a bit more sexy, you could slip on the flexi train skirt.  It also comes with gloves for that more sophisticated look.

This isn’t called the Ice Princess for nothing…plenty of skin showing to allure any man to embrace you to warm you up.  With the highly detailed halter top, criss-crossing jewels across the midriff and seductive bare back, you will be sure to set the right mood for that romantic evening.  A must have for any wardrobe.

A big part of fashion in Second Life is poses which can involve several areas from fashion photographs right onto the catwalk.   If you are like me, you probably have poses scattered throughout your inventory making it difficult to find the right poses for the right occassion.  I finally threw my hands up and said “enough.”  So I went on a search to find the perfect vehicle which will give me the versatility I needed, at an affordable price, and didn’t require that I was a scripting genuis in order to operate it .  I tried out a few until I hit pay dirt – Tillie’s Posing Stand – created by Tillie Ariantho.   Tillie Ariantho wears many hats in the fashion world.  She is not only a wonderful photographer (Tillie Ariantho’s Flickr page), models herself, has her own blog called Tillie’s Things of Second Life and her own store called Tillie’s Store, where you can purchase this posestand.  So if anyone knew what was needed, surely she would.  I wasn’t disappointed!

Oscar Page

Oscar Page

If you have looked at the latest issue of Second Style (Issue #23), you’ll notice a very prominent name listed on the cover- Oscar Page.   A title well deserved, I might add.  I’ve known Oscar for quite some time and he’s not only been a very good friend, but is one of the few men I know in Second Life that not only loves to shop, but always looks very stylish and up-to-date.  Unlike most men in Second Life who tend to wear the same thing over and over, Oscar has more than one or two outfits in his inventory. Oscar is also one of the old timers, has been in Second Life since 2004, so he has  a unique perspective on fashion for men and how it has evolved through the years.  Oscar has harnessed all those years and created his own blog for men’s fashion in Second Life called Oscaresque Fashion Sense in a Second World.  If you are male in Second Life who can’t stand shopping and the time involved,  then you’ll definitely want to bookmark this site to find out the latest styles and releases.

RFyre - The Snow Queen
RFyre – The Snow Queen

“I can give her no greater power than she has already,” said the woman; “don’t you see how strong that is? How men and animals are obliged to serve her, and how well she has got through the world, barefooted as she is. She cannot receive any power from me greater than she now has, which consists in her own purity and innocence of heart. If she cannot herself obtain access to the Snow Queen, and remove the glass fragments from little Kay, we can do nothing to help her……” ~Hans Christen Anderson, The Snow Queen

House of RFyre‘s newest release is The Snow Queen, designed by Raven Pennyfeather.  Befittingly, once you put this dress on, you can’t help but feel like a queen in a fairytale.  Between the rich textures and the attention to details, your sure to have people (along with a few furries, no doubt) worshipping you!  The Snow Queen is a stunning ice-blue gown accented throughout with white and silver.  A richly detailed, embroided bodice  is highlighted by a  whimsical, bejeweled collar with a feather mini-cape.  The billowing skirt  encircles the wearer — adding that whimsical charm that you would expect from nothing less than a queen!  Perfect for the season, as well as the holiday, you too can have people bowing at your feet.  You can purchase this dress at House of RFyreYou can also keep up to date on House of RFyre’s lastest fashions on the internet  — House of RFyre website.

Normally this is where I type something thought provoking about *FDL*’s fall collection, however, words can’t do justice by the video that the designer, Sanders Beaumont, created for his newest designs.  It’s simply breathtaking!  You can purchase the beautifully crafted clothing highlighted in the video at *FDL* & Wardrobe Outfitters.  Without further adieu…..
