Really good black skin is not easy to find in Second Life, but so far what I have seen, Glance Skin, created and owned by Joakim Asbrink,  managed to create black skins that are about as realistic as possible.  The face is so nicely detailed and the body part is as greatly detailed.  Joakim is known for her very detailed skins.

 They come with 7 different make ups:  1.Alek – Attention, 2. Alek – Metallic, 3. Alek – Red, 4. Alek – Angel, 5. Alek – Black, 6.  Alek – Colour and 7. Alek – Blue

The price per skin is 999 L and for a fatpack which usually contains 7 different make ups, the price is then 4500L.

Angels Dessous by Nando Korobase is well-known secondlife lingerie designer and does a lot of wonderfull designs. His Pleasure line is the first new release in 2009 which also comes with a gown line in the same style.

The picture shown above is the Pleasure gown line which comes in a short and long version, and you can play around with styles because each sets comes with different layer options as long/short pants, fur, jacket, corset and long/short skirts – add or remove fur, wanna be sexy then wear short skirt and if its a bit cold outside, wear the jacket. This gown line comes in black, green and red color options.

The Make-A-Wish Foundation® grants wishes to children with life-threatening medical conditions. The organization began in 1980 with one wish to a little 7-year-old boy with leukemia.  His dream was to become a police offer, and through the amazing efforts of others they made his dream come true.  He was sworn in as the first honorary patrolman in Arizona’s Department of Safety.  Little Chris enjoyed a helicopter ride, a custom made police uniform, and a set of motorcycle wings for passing the motorcycle proficiency test.  Sadly Chris passed away on May 3, 1980 but his legacy lives on by inspiring others to grant wishes that provide hope, strength, and joy to children and their families.

I personally have had the pleasure of working with the Make-A-Wish Foundation® in real life.  The network of volunteers and their dedication is remarkable.  The organization has grown tremendously over the last 28 years all thanks to many generous donations.  Please join your fellow SL™ residents as they come together to raise money and awareness for this wonderful cause.

All are invited to the SL™ Celebrity Auction to benefit Make-A-Wish Foundation®.  It will be held this Sunday, December 28th from 1pm until 5pm in the Patch Thibaud Auditorium.  21 Celebrities will be auctioned off for a wonderful cause.

Part One:

Many avatars come to Ewing Fashion Agency to find out more about becoming a model. We had the pleasure of meeting the lovely Sparrow on her second day in SL. She is hungry to learn more, and is struggling through the “newbie” phase.

Face it we’ve all been there. Do you remember buying your first purchase that was in a box? You probably wore it and struggled with how to open it. Sparrow is in her Second Life infancy, but knows she wants to find her own personal style beyond the freebie warehouse “fashion” scene.
Sparrow has agreed to take part in a project. One where we will help guide her personal quest for identity in SL.  Every few weeks, we will check back in with Sparrow and update you her on her progress.

Meet Sparrow:

Shir Dryke is one of the loveliest people in Second Life.  Some may know her from her past days as a blogger.  She took the jump to design in June of this year.  Her store, Ornamental Life has a beautiful selection of tops, outfits, lingerie, and bikinis. The clothes are extremely well crafted and come in the richest jewel tones.

Ornamental Life is having a 50% store card sale December 7 – 14, 2008.  Shir was kind enough to share her flyer.

RFyre - The Snow Queen
RFyre – The Snow Queen

“I can give her no greater power than she has already,” said the woman; “don’t you see how strong that is? How men and animals are obliged to serve her, and how well she has got through the world, barefooted as she is. She cannot receive any power from me greater than she now has, which consists in her own purity and innocence of heart. If she cannot herself obtain access to the Snow Queen, and remove the glass fragments from little Kay, we can do nothing to help her……” ~Hans Christen Anderson, The Snow Queen

House of RFyre‘s newest release is The Snow Queen, designed by Raven Pennyfeather.  Befittingly, once you put this dress on, you can’t help but feel like a queen in a fairytale.  Between the rich textures and the attention to details, your sure to have people (along with a few furries, no doubt) worshipping you!  The Snow Queen is a stunning ice-blue gown accented throughout with white and silver.  A richly detailed, embroided bodice  is highlighted by a  whimsical, bejeweled collar with a feather mini-cape.  The billowing skirt  encircles the wearer — adding that whimsical charm that you would expect from nothing less than a queen!  Perfect for the season, as well as the holiday, you too can have people bowing at your feet.  You can purchase this dress at House of RFyreYou can also keep up to date on House of RFyre’s lastest fashions on the internet  — House of RFyre website.
