It’s summer for the top half of the world and all girls need new swimsuits.  We can’t be wearing the some ones that served us well last year, this is a new year after all.  Luckily for us, there are new ones to be had in Second Life.  Aradhana Voight of Mashooka Designs is offering some sexy new styles of swimwear, some complete with cover-up options.  Pictured below is the figure enhancing Nisha one piece suit.

Nisha

This suit has a large open front exposing the torso and a deep cut back, showing plenty of skin for a one piece suit.  The top is enhanced with a prim scuplty bra and it can be worn with or without the sheer prim skirt.  The suit comes with the shell belt and is further accessorized with matching earrings, necklace and braclet from an available full set.  Shown here in lilac and mint it is also available in creme, orange, rose, sea and yellow.

Recently I attended a fashion show for a designer I had never heard of.  There are so many designers in Second Life, that this wasn’t an extraordinary occurance.  I had gotten my first look a the works of a designer unknown to me a number of times before.  What was different in this case was that this ws not a new designer, but one that has been around for some time, producing very unique clothing of excellent quality and detail.  Thea Tamura and her TTFashion brand may not be well known but I think that is about to change.  She has been a Second Life designer or some time and has ventured into most areas of design, including clothing, shoes, boots, hair and jewelry for both women men.  What immediately catches one’s eye are the intricate and expertly done textures on the clothes.  The patterns and colors are outstanding and placed with thought to achieve the desired effect.  Beyond the textures, Thea also creates unique styles.  Her prim additions to the clothing are more than just flared skirts and cuffs.  Pictured below is the MINHA Dress.

This dress is a good example of both Thea’s texture work and use of prims.  The prim skirt is more than just a repetition of similarly textured parts.  Patterns are used to create the illusion of openings and pleats.  In addition, the prims of the skirt are meticulously layered and positioned to create a more life-like fullness and movement.  It also extends up above the waist to the lower torso so that the dress seems more of a whole.  Nice details are added in the prim collar and even a prim fabric draping on the back.  The matchig hat is made with the hair as part, thus offering this complete look.

On May 23, 2009, Ewing Fashion Agency had the distinct privilege of bringing together two very famous designers.  They were Mami Jewell of Azul Collections and Elettra Gausman or Orage Creations.  The setting was the very dynamic surroundings of the Lost World Gallery.  Here was found a picture of artistic clothing creations, enveloped in a frame of art.

Aradhana Voight of Mashooka Designs is possibly best know for her fantastic and authentic Indian designs, but regular shoppers at her store know that she does much more.  Recently, she released a new spring line.  This new line is a wonderful mix of Indian and Western styles, covering the full gamut from casual to formal. Texturing in Second Life clothing design has reallyadvanced over recent weeks, in the amount of detail and true to life shading, and Aradhana is keeping right up with the state of the art.  This level of quality combined with her sense of style and the wonderful color pallette she uses, makes for a truely exciting spring selection.

Pictured above are a couple of variations of the Linda denim skirt paired with the new Indian Summer Tunic.   The tunic comes with a number of options, just a couple of which are seen here.  The base top has the long and short sleeve versions on both the shirt and jacket layer and can be worn alone for a tight fit, or with one of the optional prim attachemnts for a looser fit.  Included is a prim collar and sculpty-prim puff sleeves (not pictured) as additional options.  Besides the Pink and Beige shown here, other colors available are Green, Lime, Red and Sea.  Both lengths of the Linda skirt are available in various denim shades.

The recreation of the Texas Capital Building located in Antiquity Texas is a masterful build and well worth a visit just to see it.  If you look real close you can see me standing on the front the steps.  This gives you an indication of the scale of this amazing building.

But what should make Second Life fashionistas all the more interested is what’s hidden within.  Upon arriving at the sim, walk over or teleport to the capital building and enter the main door.  Once inside, continnue straight ahead to the rotunda then turn down the east wing to find the treasure.  What you will see is finely crafted jewelry by one of the principles of Antiquity Texas, Jacon Cortes.

Most of the jewelry, which is finely crafted and very detailed, is sold in the east wing of the Texas Capital building.  Pictured above is the latest set called the Eye of Ra.  This set of red diamonds and platinum includes the necklace, earrings, bracelet and ring shown.  All the jewelryis made of individual tiny prims as all high quality jewelry is and the textures and colors are all very realistic.

As any girl knows, there always seems to be a reason to buy more lingerie or another pair of shoes.  For shoes, it may be that you just don’t have the exact right pair for that new outfit or you just have to try some from a brand new store or designer.  When it comes to lingerie, how often have you seen a new sensual release that you just had to have?  Or maybe it’s time to spice up a romance.  I know that I can come up with many reasons, some would say excuses, to buy more of these two items.  A peek into my shoe and lingerie folders in my inventory would prove that.  Luckily, just as in real life, Second Life offers a plethora of quality shoe and lingerie stores.  One of my favorites for elegant lingerie is, of course, Insolence, best known for it’s high quality, luxurious lingerie sets.  Camilla Yosuke, the owner of Insolence, takes great pride in her designs and makes sure that each new release not only maintains her high standards of quality, but also offers a unique styling and isn’t just a rehashed previous offering.  Her latest set, the Dolores Lace Ensemble, holds true to these ideals.

Pictured above is the Delores set which is sold in black and white, the black variation available with various colors of flowerettes in the lace detail of the bra (see top inset).  Besides the all black and allwhite sets, you can get the black with red, gold, purple or teal.   This is a classic three-piece set consisting of matching bra, panties and garter belt and as is typical for Insolence sets, there are various combination and layer options for the garments.  A pair of classic back-seamed stockings in either black or white is also included.

The wonderful selection of lingerie sets offered at Insolence is reason enough to visist on a regular basis, but as an added bonus, there is also a small but growing selection of shoes.  The most recent addition to the this line is the Marie Jeanne Heel. The black and purple (bottom inset) can be seen above.  The same attention to detail as in the lingerie can be seen on the shoes, as evidenced byt the realistic texturing and silver strap buckle.  Other colors available are Beige, Carmel, Pink and Steel Blue, while the black is available with gold or silver buckles.
