Spring is upon us, and it’s time to pull out your shorts and crop tops.  You can still be glam and fashionable with your choices.  This week I’ve put together something that you could easily wear for date night or to the hottest new club in SL.  Armidi has wonderful separates and they have the best pair of Jordyn shorts.  They’ve been out for a year, and I still can’t find a pair I like better.  The metallic gold version, adds some drama to the look.  Using metallics is a great way to glam up any outfit.

I paired a purple zip jacket to the shorts.  The rich plum top  from Decoy is full of surprises with it’s prim belt with gold buckle and poofy sleeve parts.  Gold always adds luxury to your style, and the accesories from Armidi fit perfectly.  Now I just need to find my date…

Check out the style card for details.

Today I have a Special Mash Up Edition of the Style Tip of the Week.

LeeZu! released the most amazing Valerie blouses last month, and I just can’t get enough.  The sheer ruffle detail is amazing, and it comes in a large range of colors.  You need to add layers for modesty, in this picture I’m wearing the undershirt, shirt and jacket layers.  The bow belt from Muism’s  New Minimal outfit added a simple chic twist to the look.  Next,  I paired the top with the cutest flared capris from MALT, the woven texture of the pant is incredibly well made.  Khea Karas is an amazing designer and her upcoming vintage inspired releases will have you all in a frenzy (shameless plug for next week’s edition).  If you haven’t picked up the newest shoes from Courtisane, you better run now and get the FATPACK of awesomeness.  These shoes are my new favorites in all of SL, the flower accent on the sandal adds a most unique touch.  And, I adore the ribbon accent in the back.  I kept the accesories simple with pieces from Zaara and Swallowtail.

The Make-A-Wish Foundation® grants wishes to children with life-threatening medical conditions. The organization began in 1980 with one wish to a little 7-year-old boy with leukemia.  His dream was to become a police offer, and through the amazing efforts of others they made his dream come true.  He was sworn in as the first honorary patrolman in Arizona’s Department of Safety.  Little Chris enjoyed a helicopter ride, a custom made police uniform, and a set of motorcycle wings for passing the motorcycle proficiency test.  Sadly Chris passed away on May 3, 1980 but his legacy lives on by inspiring others to grant wishes that provide hope, strength, and joy to children and their families.

I personally have had the pleasure of working with the Make-A-Wish Foundation® in real life.  The network of volunteers and their dedication is remarkable.  The organization has grown tremendously over the last 28 years all thanks to many generous donations.  Please join your fellow SL™ residents as they come together to raise money and awareness for this wonderful cause.

All are invited to the SL™ Celebrity Auction to benefit Make-A-Wish Foundation®.  It will be held this Sunday, December 28th from 1pm until 5pm in the Patch Thibaud Auditorium.  21 Celebrities will be auctioned off for a wonderful cause.

Hello you Fashionistas! I’m Vixie Rayna, the new kid on the block here at Ewing Fashion Agency. /me waves to the world. Each week I’ll be sharing style tips and tricks of the modeling trade. Stick with me, we’re going to have some fun with fashion!

Style is all about finding your inspiration. It could be from magazines, art, nature, friends, or even the SL® fashion planet feed. Creating your own personal look should be about what inspires you. Most of our inventories are stuffed to the max with many things in boxes we’ve never even opened. My style tip of the week is a challenge to find inspiration in your closet. Are you up for it?

Head home, and hop on a pose stand. Next open up that inventory and type in something random like your current mood. I typed in “cosy”, and a lovely little chenille sweater from Pig was just sitting in my closet. The knit texture begs to be touched and its one of those perfect shirts (it comes on ALL layers).  I needed a coat and the new military one from Aoharu was a perfect with its amazing fur trimmed hood. Jeans scream out cosy and comfortable, so I found my go-to skinny jeans. The Dune boots from Maitreya are a staple in my closet. Hair, skin and accessories are usually the last items I style. Its as if one thing leads to another and presto, you’re inspiration is now personified in your own style.

Each week, I’ll find a style tip for you and share here on the Ewing Fashion Agency blog.

Remember that fashion is FUN!

Love, Vixie
